"We remember trauma with our feelings and our bodies."
— Janina Fisher, Ph.D.
Our bodies remember far more than we realize.
They remember moments of joy, safety, connection, and love.
They also remember experiences that felt overwhelming, frightening, or too much to carry alone.
When something difficult happens, your nervous system does exactly what it was designed to do—it protects you.
Sometimes, however, long after the danger has passed, your body may continue responding as though it still needs to stay on alert.
You might notice:
These aren't signs that something is wrong with you.
They're signs that your nervous system has been working very hard to keep you safe.
Healing begins when we stop asking, "What's wrong with me?"
And begin asking,
"What has my nervous system been trying to protect me from?"
That shift often changes everything.
Rather than fighting your body's responses, we begin listening to them with curiosity and compassion.
Together, we'll create the conditions where your nervous system can gradually recognize that the present is different from the past.
As safety grows, your body naturally begins to release what it no longer needs to carry
.
Just as your body has learned survival, it also holds memories of safety, connection, play, wonder, and resilience.
Part of our work is helping you reconnect with those experiences, allowing your nervous system to discover that healing is not only possible—it is already part of your natural design.
Your body isn't working against you.
It's been working for you all along.
My role is to help you learn how to listen, trust, and gently support the remarkable wisdom that has always been there.
