EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
is a well-researched, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain and nervous system heal from the effects of
trauma, overwhelming life experiences, and a tendency to over or under-react in relationships.
Sometimes we understand what happened, yet our body continues to respond as though the past is still present.
EMDR helps the brain reprocess those experiences
so they no longer carry the same
emotional and physical intensity.
The goal isn't to erase your memories.
It's to help you remember without reliving.
As the nervous system heals, many people experience greater calm,
increased confidence,
more emotional freedom,
and a renewed sense of possibility.
I've been using EMDR in my practice for more than a decade
and continue to be deeply moved by its ability to help people resolve trauma, strengthen resilience,
and reconnect with the life they want to live.
Every person heals differently.
That's why I thoughtfully integrate EMDR with Somatic Experiencing®,
allowing us to move at a pace that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
Rather than pushing through difficult experiences, we create the conditions for healing by helping your nervous system
feel safe enough to process what has been held for so long.
EMDR Intensives are a extended and focused sessions where we offer more spaciousness and time to work through a distressing memory or experience.
We schedule these ahead of time so that we are prepared and honor the time needed to gently bring attention to something that still feels difficult to approach.
