✨ The womb is more than a physical organ:
🌿 Why a relationship with your womb space matters:
🌟 With Womb Related Services:
A somatic, narrative, and womb-honoring approach before and/or after surgery
This is so sacred to me: I had my own hysterectomy at age 42 after a cervical cancer diagnosis.
I have created this service as a personal compassion project.
I believe body-mind-soul care for us is missing here,
regardless of the reason for the hysterectomy or procedure! -
I would be so honored to support you.
Please reach out if this resonates with you. ❤️
Hysterectomy is more than a physical procedure.
For most women, it carries emotional, identity, and spiritual layers—grief, relief, fear, gratitude, confusion, or all of these and more at once.
This offering provides gentle, structured support for women preparing for hysterectomy or integrating the experience afterward.
The focus is helping the body-mind-soul make sense of the complexity of emotions, sensations and meanings that are attached to a hysterectomy.
Reduce overwhelm or disconnection with the body during or after this major transition.
Together, we work with:
A central part of this work may include the creation of a custom therapeutic story, written specifically for you, in collaboration.
This narrative story is therapeutic - it helps your system balance and find coherence, a type of alignment, that can bring peace and somatic resolve through completion.
Services may include:
This work is deeply supportive care that is designed to help you feel accompanied, resourced, and whole as you move through this chapter.
Somatic and narrative guidance for therapists and healing practitioners
Many practitioners support clients undergoing hysterectomy and would love a clear, relevant framework of support.
This professional consultation is designed for:
Consultations may also include guidance on how to introduce and read a therapeutic narrative
with a client in a way that supports
coherence and safety.
This service is especially helpful when:
This is a professional consultation, not therapy or supervision, and is intended to strengthen the care you already provide. I'll be clear about my limits, knowledge and scope as well.
I come to this conversation as a
somatic psychotherapist,
a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
as a Reiki practitioner,
Shamanic Reiki Practitioner
and Womb Reiki practitioner.
a survivor of hysterectomy and cervical cancer.
And every woman's story is completely unique.
My personal or professional experience does not make me an expert on the client.
It does help me to begin tracing a responsive, creative and collaborative approach to support.
Reach out via email if you'd like to schedule. I can be flexible on hours for a zoom or phone consult.
Womb Reiki is a specialty form of Reiki that brings a focus to restoring life energy flow and alignment to your physical and metaphorical womb space, and whole self.
(Uterus is not required)
Womb Reiki might support your Somatic Therapy if you:
Have had a positive experience and familiarity with Reiki sessions in the past, or are interested to try it out.
Have unresolved trauma related to the womb space:
difficult birth, losses, abortion, violations, infertility, medical diagnosis, difficulties or procedures; pain, intimacy problem
When, more broadly, you are wanting to release negative energies that might be preventing you from moving forward or freely in your life
in the form of negative beliefs, painful lingering emotions
or sensations around past or repeating patterns,
and you want to break free from those energies
When you are wanting to bring forward new projects, creative ideas into the world, and feel hesitations or blocks
When you would like to increase access to your intuition
First, I only offer Womb Reiki in the context of Somatic Therapy. (Not stand alone)
I have explored offering Womb Reiki outside of clinical therapy as a stand alone option.
I have concluded that Womb Reiki is powerful, and the majority of the womb reiki techniques that I have learned actually support trauma resolution, in similar ways as Somatic Touch Therapy.
Nervous system regulation, and allowing the mind-body-spirit to move through waves of activation, release and integration is a profoundly healing body-mind-spirit approach. This happens in both Womb Reiki and Somatic Touch Work.
And to provide it responsibly, I would love to have all my "tools" - SE therapy and EMDR for example - to support you as you are on your journey of growth and transformation.
I am trauma informed and trained -and want to be able to freely provide the fullest range of support that I'm capable of offering.
To maintain integrity as a therapist, even outside of "therapy" I have ethics to follow that ensure I don't incidentally practice therapy without a license. I take that seriously.
So, after mentorship, education and aligning with my own womb wisdom and intuition, the 'somatic therapy' container is where I feel safest to keep YOU safest and supported well.
The commonality between somatic touch work and womb reiki is the power and magic of co-regulation - an attuned presence that is here for you and responsive to you.
Reach out if you are interested!
It's going to look similar to Somatic Touch Work sessions, with more holistic options and language that may be helpful to you.
It is provided either virtually, in a chair, or on a message table.
You are fully clothed, and if laying down, laying on your back if comfortable.
Contact can be
hands-on (over clothes and not intimate areas)
or hovering hands.
I might encourage your own self contact, as in one hand resting on your heart space and one on your low belly womb space.
All touch contact is optional, even your own.
I will share more in person, and learn about your comfort level and how I can support you in a way that fits best for you.
Again - Womb Reiki is not imperative to reach therapy goals; I offer it as a supportive approach within somatic therapy when it's a great fit for you and serves your goals.
